Helensvale State High School Cross Country

Dear Parents/Guardians
Re: 2016 Helensvale SHS Cross-country.
On Wednesday 27th April, Helensvale SHS will hold its annual Cross Country event held on the school grounds and surrounding neighbourhood as in previous years.  Helensvale SHS has a proud tradition of holding fantastic sports carnivals that are always well attended and contested.
The cross country is compulsory for all student across years 7 – 9 and also for those students who are in the Sport Academy program. Those students in senior school (year10-12) who are not in the Sport Academy will need to see Mr King or Miss Williams in the HPE office to register their intent to run. Once senior students register they will be given permission to leave their normal timetabled lesson on the day of the cross-country to complete.
All 7-9 students studying BAM and Sport Academy students will walk the course during their allocated sport lesson. It is planned that all other students will have the opportunity to walk the track on a designated lunch break before the day of the cross-country.
Information letters will go out to students in year 7-9 later this week
