Enrolling At Our School

​Enrolment from within our catchment area

Please contact our administration office via email or phone to arrange an enrolment interview. At this appointment, we will provide you with the correct forms required to enrol at Helensvale State High School. School fees and uniforms can be organised at the conclusion of the interview at our P&C uniform shop and finance department. The following documentation is required at the time of the enrolment interview:

  • Two forms of proof of residency within catchment area
    Student’s birth certificate
    Student’s passport and visa (if born overseas)
  • Student’s two most recent school reports 
  • NAPLAN test results
  • Any two of the following documents showing name and address as proof of residency in our catchment area:

 1. Primary Source -

  • Signed unconditional sale agreement
  • Lease agreement stamped and signed by real estate agency for a minimum of six months duration

2. Secondary Source 

  • Rates notice
  • Electricity account
  • Bank statement
  • Registration on a state or federal election roll

Please view our subject selection booklets to prepare a possible list of subjects which your child wishes to study for the school year. Subjects are limited to availability at the time of enrolment.

School tours are conducted Wednesdays by Mr Blackshaw the Executive Principal from 10.30am - 11.15am. To book your school tour appointment please email Cindy with your name, phone number and number of guests in your party, or for general enrolments call the administration office on 07 5573 8555.

Academy Excellence programs and scholarship

Students entering into Year 7 for 2018 for term one can apply for our Academy Excellence Programs.

Sibling enrolment

As per our Enrolment Management Plan (PDF, 250kb), students with actively enrolled siblings at Helensvale State High School are automatically accepted into our school excluding siblings that were enrolled via an Academy Program. Siblings of Academy enrolled students are encouraged to submit an Academy Enrolled Sibling Prospective Enrolment Application which will be assessed with priority.

Enrolment from outside our catchment area

Students who reside outside the school's local catchment area are asked to complete and submit Prospective Enrolment form.  To apply for 2017, please complete the 2017 Prospective Enrolment Application. Once this form is received by the enrolment officer, the application will be assessed on a case by case basis by the Principal and the outcome will be notified in writing by email. There is no internal review of the Principal's decision.
