ATHLETICS CARNIVAL THURSDAY 26 AND FRIDAY 27 JUNE
Following a successful House Swimming Carnival held earlier this year, we are trialling a two-day House Athletics Carnival for the final days of term two on Thursday 26th June and Friday 27th June. We are looking forward to your support and encouragement for our students. This is always a fantastic event and this year we aim to make things bigger, brighter and better than ever with a real focus on engagement by getting everyone actively involved. Our Heads of House have been working hard with our Sports Coordinator to make sure there are events and activities that will appeal to all students. Both days will be kicked off with our Grand House Parade, led by Hawk, our Heads of House, House Captains and Leaders. DJ Phil is back and novelty games and activities will continue across the 2 days. our Year 12's will be running a fundraising stall for the school formal on Thursday. Our Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL) team will be running a free sausage sizzle on Friday.
House Athletic Carnival Basic Information
- Thursday 26th June and Friday 27th June are normal school days with regards to attendance expectations (all students expected to attend)
- Students are expected to attend for the whole day. Late arrivals and early departure is strongly discouraged on both days.
- Both days begin with normal home rooms at 8.40am. Both days finish at the normal times of 2.55pm (Thursday) and 1.15pm (Friday)
- Students are encouraged to dress in house colours. There is no 'theme' for the day, instead we are looking forward to seeing as much colour as possible.
- Normal school procedures apply with regards to mobile phones (no phones) and adherence to our uniform and appearance protocols. Students must wear enclosed footwear (crocs and Birkenstocks are not enclosed footwear).
- Parents and carers are most welcome to attend but must sign in and out through the front administration office. Reminder to parents that enclosed footwear is necessary on school grounds. We will have a designated space for parents.
- The school canteen will operate during break times only- reminder the canteen is cashless. Students can pre-order food using the Flexi-Schools App. Food trucks will also be in attendance. Students can use cash or cards for food trucks.
- Speakers/boom boxes, water pistols and other devices that impact on the good order and management of the school are not permitted. Non-adherence will result in confiscations.
