G'day and welcome to the International Student Program at Helensvale State High School!
At Helensvale State High School we offer both short term and long stay opportunities for our International students. Whether you are looking for a cultural experience, or you want to study long term in Australia and go on to University – Helensvale SHS can get you there.

- We offer a personalised approach to your study abroad experience. Here at Helensvale SHS, you wont get lost in a sea of students. Our International Student Coordinators are here to help and assist you. We provide comfortable student facilities where you can meet, connect and relax during break times.
- We have between 20 to 30 International students at any time during the year. This allows you to immerse yourself in making friendships with local Australian students.
- We offer access to many school based excursions for our International students. Students are also encouraged to attend our Tangalooma and Lady Elliot Island camps where they can explore the beautiful waters of the Great Barrier Reef.
- Koalas love it here! Our school grounds are full of trees and native vegetation. We regularly have visits from our local Koalas in the trees within the school grounds.
- Helensvale boasts a local public transport hub. This allows you to travel by tram to experience our beautiful coastline, or to catch the train to our capital city – Brisbane. Helensvale is also home to a variety of Theme Parks including – Movie World, Wet'n'Wild, Top Golf, Paradise Country, Outback Spectacular and Dreamworld. So much to explore on your weekends!
